School roofing has a rhythm worth understanding: the work is scheduled around the academic calendar, which means summer completion and therefore spring bidding. Districts advertise in late winter and early spring for work that must finish before students return.
Florida school construction also carries requirements under the state’s educational facilities standards, and solicitations will specify what applies.
Administrative buildings, libraries, fire stations, community centres, maintenance facilities, parks buildings, water treatment structures. Individually smaller than school work but continuous, and a county with hundreds of buildings generates steady reroofing.
Counties also let term contracts for on-call roof repair — unit-price agreements running one to three years for maintenance and emergency work across all facilities.
